K-12 Webcast: The State of Tech PD Effectiveness

February 18, 3:30 PM ET

Technology is changing the way we teach and the way our K to 12 students are learning. New devices and classroom computing solutions are more than word processors and electronic textbooks, they offer a suite of tools and deliver content in new and dynamic ways. With these capabilities, K-12 education is transforming, with a renewed focus on enabling students to learn in the way that each student learns best. As student-centric, technology-enabled classroom learning rapidly evolves, technology professional development still follows a traditional structure.

Many educators are struggling to keep up with changes and master not only the technology, but the ability to integrate it into lesson plans and use it to facilitate student learning.

In this webcast, we discuss the results of our recent survey of more than 250 educators about the effectiveness of their technology professional development.  By understanding what is working and what is not, we can define a set of best practices for Technology Professional Development programs.
